At our range, safety is always the top priority. All shooters must strictly follow these safety guidelines to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for everyone.
β General Range Safety Rules:
- Always treat every firearm as loaded
- Keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot
- Always point the muzzle in a safe direction.
- Know your target and what lies beyond it
- Wear ear and eye protection at all times
π Firing Line Protocols:
- Do not step forward of the firing line unless given the βclearβ command.
- When the range is cold, all firearms must be unloaded with actions open
- Never handle firearms while people are downrange
- Use the designated benches or racks when not shooting
π¨ Emergency Procedures:
- Report all accidents or unsafe behavior to a range officer immediately
- Follow all instructions from range officers without delay
- First aid kits and emergency contact numbers are available at the main range office
βοΈ Equipment Standards: Approved Rifles, Optics, and Ammunition
To maintain a safe and consistent shooting environment, only certain types of equipment are allowed on the range
π« Approved Firearms:
- Bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles in good working condition
- No handguns, shotguns, or fully automatic firearms are allowed unless part of a special event
π Optics Guidelines:
- Scopes must be mounted securely
- Reticles such as Mil-Dot, MOA, or BDC are recommended for long-range shooting
- Iron sights are allowed but not recommended for extended distances
π₯ Ammunition Rules:
- Both factory manufactured and hand loaded ammunitions are allowed
- No tracers, armor-piercing, or incendiary rounds permitted
- Calibers allowed: .223 Rem, .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, and other approved long-range calibers
- All ammunition is subject to inspection by range staff
π Equipment Check:
- Range officers reserve the right to inspect all gear before shooting
- Unsafe or unapproved gear will not be allowed on the range
